Website guides
What pages should a professional business website have?
Most service businesses need a clear core set of pages before they need a large content library or complicated features.

A professional business website does not need dozens of pages to be useful. It needs enough structure to answer the visitor’s main questions without forcing them to search through scattered content.
The right page list depends on the business, but most service websites can begin with five core areas.
1. Home
The home page should quickly explain what the business does, who it helps, where it operates, and what the visitor should do next. It should not try to contain every detail.
2. Services
Use a service overview when the offer is simple. Create dedicated service pages when customers need more explanation, when services target different audiences, or when each service deserves its own search visibility.
3. About
The About page should build trust through the people, experience, values, process, location, and practical reasons the business is qualified to deliver the work.
4. Work, proof, or results
This can include completed projects, product screenshots, before-and-after examples, credentials, client feedback, or clearly identified concept work. Do not invent results when the business is still building its portfolio.
5. Contact or request a quote
Make the next step specific. Ask only for information that helps assess the enquiry, and provide an alternative email or phone option when appropriate.
